Shrimp Saganaki

 
 

INGREDIENTS

Shrimp, peeled & deveined 1 lb
Spicelopedia® Italian Lemon Pepper seasoning To taste
Yellow onion, diced 1
Garlic cloves, minced 3
Crushed tomatoes 1 (15 oz) can
Dry white wine ¼ cup
Tomato paste 1 Tbsp
Feta cheese crumbles 4 oz
Orzo pasta or rice For serving

STEPS

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of oil.
  2. Season the shrimp generously on all sides with Spicelopedia® Italian Lemon Pepper seasoning.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 1 minute per side, until partially cooked. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook for about 3 minutes, until softened.
  5. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the white wine and scrape the pan to deglaze.
  7. Stir in the tomato paste until combined.
  8. Add the crushed tomatoes and mix everything together in the skillet.
  9. Return the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and fully cooked through.
  10. Sprinkle feta cheese over the top and briefly heat until slightly melted.
  11. Serve over orzo pasta or rice.
