Chili Lime Buttered Fish Filet

 

INGREDIENTS

Servings: 4 • Prep: 10 minutes • Cook: ~8 minutes
Fish filets (choice of fish) 4 (6–8 oz. each)
Salted butter, softened 1 stick (8 Tbsp.)
Spicelopedia™ Chili Lime Adobo with Chipotle seasoning, divided 1 tsp. + ½ tsp.
Fresh lime juice 2 tsp.
Fresh lime zest ½ tsp.
Olive oil ¼ cup
Minced garlic (optional) ¼ tsp.

STEPS

  1. In a small stainless steel bowl, whisk together softened butter, 1 tsp. Spicelopedia™ Chili Lime Adobo with Chipotle seasoning, lime juice, garlic, and lime zest. Refrigerate to set.
  2. Mix ½ tsp. Spicelopedia™ Chili Lime Adobo with Chipotle seasoning with 2 Tbsp. olive oil. Brush fish filets on all sides.
  3. Heat a large sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add remaining 2 Tbsp. olive oil, then reduce heat to medium.
  4. Add seasoned filets to the hot pan and sauté until edges begin to cook. Flip and continue cooking until desired doneness is reached.
  5. Remove fish from pan and plate.
  6. Top each filet with a ½ oz. scoop of chili lime compound butter before serving.
