INGREDIENTS

Servings: 4
Tilapia filets 4, 6 oz.
Salted butter 1 Tbsp.
Olive oil As needed
Plain panko breadcrumbs ½ cup
Spicelopedia™ Peri Peri seasoning 2 Tbsp. plus ¼ tsp.
Candied pecans, finely chopped 2 Tbsp.
Fresh lemon wedges For serving

STEPS

  1. Heat a small frying pan over medium-high heat. Melt the butter, then stir in ¼ tsp. of the Spicelopedia™ Peri Peri seasoning. Add the panko breadcrumbs and stir with a wooden spoon until the crumbs are golden and toasted. Stir in the chopped candied pecans, then remove from heat.
  2. Season each tilapia filet generously on both sides with the remaining Spicelopedia™ Peri Peri seasoning, using about ½ Tbsp. per 6 oz. filet.
  3. Heat about ¼ inch of olive oil in a 10–12-inch sauté pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the fish and cook for about 4 minutes. Carefully flip the filets and cook for an additional 3 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and cooked through. Repeat with remaining filets.
  4. Top the cooked tilapia filets with the toasted panko pecan topping and serve with fresh lemon wedges.
