INGREDIENTS

Servings: 4
Salmon fillets 4 (6 oz. each)
Olive oil 2 Tbsp.
Cooking spray As needed
Spicelopedia® Texas Brisket seasoning 1 Tbsp.
Maple syrup ¼ cup
Soy sauce 2 tsp.

STEPS

  1. Place salmon fillets in a large mixing bowl. Add olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
  2. Add Spicelopedia® Texas Brisket seasoning and gently toss to coat all sides of the fish.
  3. Heat a sauté pan over medium-high heat and lightly coat with cooking spray. Add salmon fillets.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and cook for about 5 minutes, depending on thickness.
  5. Flip the salmon once the flesh has lightened about ¾ of the way up. Sear for another 1–2 minutes.
  6. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine maple syrup and soy sauce. Warm slightly, then stir.
  7. Serve sauce over salmon fillets.
